Caroline Claar, MSN, APRN, NP-C, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Claar began her journey in healthcare through both academic and clinical experiences in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Samford University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Ms. Claar’s early career as a Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) nurse fostered her passion for providing comprehensive, compassionate care. After completing her graduate studies, she transitioned into advanced practice roles, first in inpatient palliative care at Piedmont Hospital, and later in hematology and oncology at Emory's Winship Cancer Institute. Her dedication to patient well-being and clinical excellence allowed her to not only provide direct patient care but also contribute as a co-/sub-investigator on numerous clinical research trials.

Throughout her career, Ms. Claar has taken on leadership roles, including serving as a site coordinator and preceptor for Emory’s Winship Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program. Her commitment to excellence has earned her recognition, such as the Emory Healthcare Service Award (July 2020) and the Emory Winship Cancer Institute Wellness Award (November 2020). She has also made valuable contributions as a committee member of the Organ Donation Committee at Piedmont Hospital.

Driven by her passion for healthcare and dedication to her patients, Ms. Claar continues to make a meaningful impact in every role she serves. She is an excellent addition to Atlanta Neurology demonstrating a special interest in managing and treating conditions such as memory difficulties including mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, and other subtypes of dementia. Her dedication to this field stems from her desire to provide comprehensive care to patients facing cognitive and neurological challenges. Ms. Claar works closely with individuals and their families to create personalized treatment plans, aiming to improve quality of life and support long-term brain health. She is also available to treat other general neurological conditions including headaches and migraines, neck and back pain, movement disorders, neuropathy, stroke, and epilepsy.
